USB Data Recovery finds deleted files on USB drives, pen drives, external hard disks, SSDs and memory cards in a card reader - directly on your phone, with no computer and no root. Plug the drive in through a USB-C or USB-OTG adapter and scan it.
Scanning and preview are completely FREE, and so is saving the first three files a scan finds. See what can be recovered, get some of it back, then decide. Saving the rest is one single purchase - no subscription, no account, no ads.
IT NEVER WRITES TO THE DRIVE YOU ARE RECOVERING
The drive is opened strictly read-only. Recovered files are saved to your phone, never back onto the drive they came from - so a scan can never make things worse, and the drive is left exactly as it was.
WHAT IT RECOVERS
- Files you deleted by mistake, including Shift+Delete and emptied recycle bins
- Photos and videos from a camera card, drone or action cam, through a USB card reader
- Documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDFs and music - not only pictures
- Files from a drive that was formatted or quick-formatted
- Files from a drive Android refuses to open, or that asks to be formatted before use
- Files from a drive that shows as empty, RAW or 0 bytes while the space is clearly used
WINDOWS DRIVES AND MAC DRIVES
QUICK SCAN reads the filesystem's own records, so files come back with their real names, the folders they lived in and their dates. It works on NTFS, exFAT and FAT32 from Windows and on APFS and HFS+ from a Mac - the app carries its own filesystem engines and its own USB stack, so it never depends on Android being able to mount the drive. Encrypted drives count too, once you unlock them: BitLocker To Go with its password or 48-digit recovery key, FileVault with its password or recovery key.
DEEP SCAN FOR EVERYTHING ELSE
DEEP SCAN reads the raw surface of the drive and rebuilds files from their contents, even when no readable filesystem is left - a formatted drive, a corrupted partition, a card no device will mount:
- Photos: JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, HEIC
- Camera RAW: CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, DNG, PEF, RAF
- Video: MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WEBM, MTS, MPEG
- Audio: MP3, FLAC, WAV, OGG
- Documents and archives: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, DOC, XLS, PPT, ZIP
It also reads the records an old filesystem left behind, so files from a reformatted drive can come back named rather than as carved-00001.jpg.
SEE IT BEFORE YOU BUY
Every recoverable photo and video is shown as a real preview, not a filename in a list, and each file is graded: intact, or partly overwritten. If a file cannot be fully recovered the app says so rather than handing you a broken file that pretends to be whole.
WHAT YOU NEED
- An Android phone or tablet with USB OTG (most have it) and a USB-C or OTG adapter
- A powered hub for bigger external hard disks
- For SD, microSD or CompactFlash cards: a USB card reader
HONEST LIMITS - PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING
- This app recovers from drives you plug in over USB. It cannot recover from your phone's own internal storage, or from a card in the phone's built-in SD slot. Put the card in a USB card reader and it works.
- Data that has been overwritten cannot be recovered by any software. The sooner you stop using a drive after losing files, the more comes back.
- A deep scan recovers file contents; original names and folders survive only sometimes.
- On APFS, a quick scan reaches back through the drive's own recent history, so older losses are the deep scan's job. When a Mac itself reformats an APFS drive it erases the old records, and names cannot come back after that.
- Recovery is never guaranteed. That is exactly why scanning, preview and the first three files are free: check your files are really there before spending anything.
PRIVACY
Nothing is uploaded. No account, no ads, no analytics. The app reads your drive on your phone and nowhere else.
Scan free. Preview free. First three files free. Pay once, only if the rest are worth it.
