About this app

Hoot is the AI helper that lives on your own Mac. Terminal Deck puts it in your pocket.

Pair your phone with your Mac once: open Terminal Deck on the Mac, choose Machines, then Pair a device, and type the six-digit code on your phone. Then talk to Hoot from anywhere.

• Ask in plain words. Hoot answers, and does the work on your Mac, with the AI account you already use there (Claude, Codex or Gemini).
• See every step as it happens: what Hoot read, what it ran, what it changed.
• Approve or turn down anything that would change something. Hoot asks first, and so do AI apps you gave a key to. Every request waits in Approvals with exactly what it will do.
• Private by design. No account, no analytics, no tracking. Your messages travel end-to-end encrypted to your own Mac. Our relay passes them along and cannot read them.
• Lock the app with your screen lock or fingerprint if you like.
• Something wrong with a reply? Hold it and choose Report.

Terminal Deck needs a Mac running Terminal Deck (free, from terminaldeck.dev). This first version is about Hoot; more of your computer comes to the phone in later versions.
