I was previously using NetGuard (VPN), but even if was connected to wifi, after rebooting, I'd still lose about 10 kB of data. And if I wasn't on wifi, several MB would leak after a reboot unless I turned off data. So I bit the bullet and rooted (S6). Now, with AFWall and their data leak fix, I use 0 KB upon reboot while on wifi, and only a tiny amount of KB while on data (whatever data my calling/texting app uses).
I think it's a pretty cool app for blocking other undesired apps' background/foreground data usage. It save me a lot from Google's apps ridiculous wifi data streaming... But the PROBLEM is, it drains battery so much. Maybe it caused by the app countinously blocking so many data in and out, and of course it'll raise up the phone temperature pretty high. At this overheat condition, the battery won't charging normally or need extra time to fill it up. :/ --- (I'm running on ZTE V9820 Kitkat 4.2)
