About this game
SIEVE is a daily word puzzle game I built to see what it feels like to make a game from scratch. I'm a backend developer — I'd never touched frontend before. So I picked a simple idea and ran with it.
Fair warning: the puzzles are hard — at least for me — don't say I didn't warn you.
Each day brings two puzzles:
🔵 SURVIVAL — A new rule is revealed each round. Your word is automatically checked against every rule so far. If it still passes, it slides through. If it breaks, you scramble for a new one. You have 3 lives. The goal is to survive to the end.
🟡 INVESTIGATION — A hidden word exists. Each rule is a clue that describes it. Deduce the target word before you run out of lives. Fewer mistakes = more stars.
The same puzzle goes out to everyone each day — share your emoji result and compare how you did, without spoiling anything.
No accounts. No ads. No subscriptions. No notifications begging you to come back. Just a puzzle a day, waiting for you when you want it.
It's a hobby project — one developer, nights and weekends. Found a bug or have an idea? Let me know.
