About this app

RekoSled is an interactive application with which you can contribute to the research and preservation of rivers. You can turn every walk along the river into a valuable contribution to nature.

There are many obstacles on the rivers - transverse (dams, rapids, weirs, sluices, dams) and longitudinal (stone embankments, walls, gabions, willow tangles, weirs). These hinder the migration of fish and other organisms, stop the flow of sediment and have a negative impact on the connectivity of river ecosystems and the groundwater level.

When you encounter such an obstacle by the river, you can easily record it with the help of the application. Your entry is immediately saved in a common database and becomes part of the online River Atlas, where a map of all already listed obstacles is available.
In this way, you will directly contribute to a better understanding of rivers and to maintaining their connectivity.
