It worked at first. Then it stopped working. After app close and open, it gave an absurd value (order of magnitude 30x higher pitch than previously detected, then it stopped detecting again. I think this app gets a buffer saturation and stalls. Needs more work.

I'd give it 5 stars if the app had two visualization modes, one where notes on the staff run continuously from right to left as sheet music being scrolled and another mode where notes accumulate but without scrolling from left to right and start over from the left side every time the notes reach the end of the staff, that's actually how music is written. I believe those two visualization modes will teach people how to read and write music.

Decent, occasionally I'd have issue with it telling the pitch of certain notes, but over all, it did it's job and it did it fairly correctly.
