About this app

Todo for Home Assistant is a fast, native app for to-do lists of every kind — shopping lists, packing lists, chores, wish lists, anything. Use it entirely on its own, or connect your own Home Assistant to sync your lists across devices and keep them exactly where your smart home already lives. When connected, it works with Home Assistant's built-in Local To-do lists (the local_todo integration), talking directly to your instance over its WebSocket API. Nothing is stored on anyone else's servers.

You can start using the app immediately — no account required. When you want your lists on every device, sign in once with your own Home Assistant account in a secure window — there are no separate accounts to create and no access tokens to copy by hand. Prefer a long-lived access token? You can use one of those instead.

WORKS OFFLINE

Out shopping with no signal? Keep going. The app caches your lists and queues
every change — new items, edits, completions, even brand-new lists — and syncs
them automatically the moment you're back online. If someone else changed the
same list while you were away, conflicting changes are reconciled cleanly so you
never clobber each other's edits.

PRIVACY FIRST

This app connects only to the Home Assistant instance you configure. Your lists,
your login, and your data go to your server and nowhere else. There are no ads,
no analytics, and no third-party tracking.

REQUIREMENTS

None to get started — create on-device lists and use every feature right away,
no account needed. To sync your lists across devices, connect your own Home
Assistant instance with one or more local to-do lists (the built-in Local To-do
/ local_todo integration) that this app can reach over your network. It is built
for these local lists; read-only or third-party to-do integrations that don't
support editing won't offer the full set of actions. The app is a client for
your Home Assistant — it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Home
Assistant project or the Open Home Foundation.
