About this app

A healthier mourning culture
- The bereavement app was developed with the aim of informing about bereavement as well as creating insight, inclusiveness and courage, so that together we can create a healthier bereavement culture.
- The grief app describes grief, the consequences of grief and what support you may need when you are affected by grief and crisis.

A free learning platform for young people aged 14 and up
- The grief app is a free learning platform where illness, death and grief are spoken about and de-tabooed.
- The bereavement app is aimed at young people, both the bereaved as well as the bereaved's surroundings (family and friends), who often want to help, but don't know how.

Insight, courage and spaciousness
- The bereavement app must contribute to insight into, knowledge of and understanding of the premises of grief, for the bereaved as well as the bereaved's friends and other social circles.
- The grief app must create a space for grief to be something we can talk about and help each other with.
- The bereavement app aims to help turn young people into enlightened, open-minded and capable people who understand the importance of offering care and support to a friend in grief.
- The grief app should help prevent some of the frustrations and defeats young people often experience when they lose.
- The bereavement app should help remove the panic and fear of touch that often occurs in friends when they meet a friend in grief, and instead equip them with greater openness and courage to ask about another person's loss, grief and powerlessness and support their friend as best as possible.
- The grief app cannot replace therapeutic and medical treatment, but can function as an aid to better understand the premises of grief.
