About this app

This app gives you quick and easy access to the most comprehensive description of the modern Danish vocabulary.

*** Now with a special view for tablets ***

To access all the index entries in the Danish Dictionary (DDO) in a view that is specifically tailored to the screen of your mobile phone. This means that the design is simpler and displays only the most important types of information. If you need to see every detail, you always have the option to go to netversionen of the dictionary, click on the "show on ordnet.dk" at the bottom of each entry.

The Danish Dictionary is constantly updated and is in line with recent changes in Danish orthography. DDO can therefore be used as a spelling dictionary in the school and the education.

The Danish Dictionary is developed by the Danish Language and Literature (DSL), which has more than 100 years of experience in editing and dictionaries behind the largest Danish native language dictionaries.

The app requires internet access. That way you are sure to always have access to the latest entries without having to update the app. And it's all free. Enjoy!

I use DDO every day and i do appreciate the work that people are doing to keep it running. If there was one think i would change it would certainly be the Favourites function: favorite words are saved here alphabeticaly and not by date; this can make it difficult to find, use and repeat the words that i saved yesterday, unless i have them written on paper, on my phone notes app... repetitio est mater studiorum

No skriftlyd available. Not the same explanation of the multiple uses of each word, as just in that found online. so brief. I can say, it is very useful with quick searching of a word.

Great app, but desperately needs pronunciation so you don't have to click through to website all the time! Also should have more offline content so you can use without an internet connection.
