About this app

ID Check is for staff at the door, counter or entrance who need to verify age quickly and securely.

The customer shows their AltID age QR code. You scan with your phone — the app shows one clear result: Over 18, Over 21, Under 18, or that the code cannot be verified. Colors and haptics make it easy to read without staring at the screen, even when things are going fast.

How it works
• Scans AltID proof-of-age QR codes (signed and verified on device)
• Displays only the age limit — not name, date of birth or ID details
• Supports 18+ and 21+ policy (18–20 can be checked if the door requires 21+)
• Rejects unsafe codes — the app errs on the safe side, not with a "yes" by default
• Last check in this session — cleared when the app is closed

Privacy and security
• Everything happens on your phone — no account, no servers, no tracking
• Camera is only used to read the QR code; images are not stored or sent
• No personal data leaves the device

ID Check is an on-site verification tool. It does not replace your internal procedures or physical ID when required.

Requires AltID age QR from the customer.
