About this app

The Kidney App has been developed by the Danish Society of Nephrology for healthcare professionals and collects the society's guidelines, makes them easily accessible and presents the recommendations from a patient-centered perspective. Since kidney disease is often accompanied by other diseases and conditions, an attempt has been made to include guidelines from other specialties to the extent possible.

The Kidney App is a clinical decision support that helps healthcare professionals find guidelines for a specific treatment for the patient they are dealing with. This way, you can be presented with recommendations that are based on the inputs you have entered and not general guidelines for everyone. However, there is a link to the comprehensive guidelines that form the basis for the recommendations presented in the app.

In the Kidney App, you can also find small tools and calculators that are often needed in the clinic. At the same time, there are visual presentations that can also be used for teaching.

It is the intention that the Kidney App will be continuously expanded with additional guidelines, recommendations and clinical tools so that all healthcare professionals can use it in their work with patients with kidney diseases.
