About this app

On December 15, the SejlSikkert app will become Onboard.
The merger is being done, among other things, to make it easier to access the information and functionality that was previously distributed across two apps: SejlSikkert Alarm and SejlSikkert. But the most important reason is that we want to make it easier for all users to call for help if necessary. And at the same time make it much easier to use the app.

In addition, there has been confusion that there have been two different SejlSikkert apps, so we are now collecting the most important information and functions in one single app.

When SejlSikkert becomes Onboard, you must register as a user so that you can call for help with a very precise position.

That is why we ask for your phone number - and we also recommend that you create a few emergency contacts that JRCC (Forsvarets rescue center) can contact if you send an SOS and they cannot get in touch with you.

NOTE! As a new feature, your position is sent to the JRCC alarm console when you press the red SOS icon in the top left corner of the Onboard app. However, you must confirm that it is an emergency before help is sent. However, if JRCC cannot contact you, you risk starting a rescue operation. Therefore, it is very important that you have provided the correct mobile number under your profile so that a rescue operation is not started that is not necessary.

Finally, we would ALWAYS recommend that there are several options for calling for help when you are at sea. A handheld VHF with a DSC button is an important tool when you are at sea and need assistance.

The map in Onboard must not be used for navigation.
