The Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) is excited to announce the launch of the DART Transit App. The free app provides access to real-time bus information, DART Pass mobile payment option, along with trip planning and several other features, including:

Trip Planner plus ability to save Favorite Trips

Paratransit customers can view today’s trips as well as future trips. When a trip is active, the Paratransit customer can track the bus to see when it will arrive.

DART Transit app will provide DART Connect customers with the following improvements:
Enhanced mapping system for more accurate pick-up/drop-off locations
Shorter walking distances
Ability to schedule trips up to two (2) days in advance
New tabs to see upcoming trips
New “Rate My Ride” feature
Request recurring trip(s)
Link to DART Pass mobile fare payment

DART riders can get real-time bus information, receive Rider Alerts, and pay their fare conveniently from their phone. This new app is a great example of our ongoing efforts to improve the customer experience.

***(App Still crashing constantly as of 6/26/25) Only disadvantages the app crashes like every 5-10 minutes and the future trips usually pops up saying "something went wrong, try again later". Other than that, it is a great app to let you know when the bus is on the way. It also lets you know how far away the bus and your bus number for Paratransit so you know the right bus to get on.

For a few years now, the app has stopped when I click on the circles with bus route numbers and times. So I've had to use the app's map to see the locations of buses prior to boarding. I also use the map while riding buses,, to make connections with other buses in areas some distance away. Unfortunately that is hard to do, because the map keeps moving back to my current location after I check only one stop outside the area.

The app works fine as long as the buses do as well. If they decide not to run along your route for 2 hours, they dont say why. The stop schedule just appears as normal. Never mind the inconvenience this causes riders who are going to be penalized at their jobs because no one can follow a simple schedule. If there was an accident, i would understand, but the app does not alert you if traffic conditions affect your commute.
