The 1st official Gebag Climathon starts on November 6th, 2023 and will motivate you for 6 weeks until December 17th, 2023 to act more sustainably at work and in everyday life.
The 42-day sustainability campaign is specially designed for us Gebagians to show innovative and practical methods for reducing our individual CO₂ footprint. Every week, various challenges are presented in the app in areas such as housing, mobility and nutrition.
Our goal as Gebag is to effectively conserve resources in the workplace and create a greater awareness of sustainability among our workforce. The Klimathon is a step towards a more environmentally friendly and sustainable future, which should not only benefit us as Gebag, but also you and those around you!
A climathon – what is it actually?
Inspired by the endurance and determination that a marathon requires, the 42-day climathon is intended to show “Gebagians” different ways to reduce their own carbon footprint. During the campaign, participants can choose from a variety of challenges designed specifically for Gebag and collect climate points. These points represent the individual CO₂ savings of each participant and, when added together, also of our company.

We as Gebag are convinced that together we can make our daily lifestyle more sustainable and would like to show you different ways to do this. The climathon aims to inspire us Gebagians to develop sustainable habits that will benefit our environment in the long term.

The Climathon offers you great opportunities to increase your awareness and commitment to climate protection while also having a lot of fun. To get started, you can use the CO2 calculator to determine your personal CO2 footprint and better understand where and how you can make your contribution to reducing global emissions.
The heart of the app are the CO2 challenges. They offer you a variety of practical tasks and challenges that aim to reduce your carbon footprint step by step. Each challenge is an opportunity to discover new ways to live and work more sustainably.
To keep you up to date and inspired, there is the sustainability feed with exciting news. Here you will find regular updates, interesting articles and inspiring stories about sustainability and climate protection.
Of course, you will also be rewarded for your efforts. There are cool rewards from our sustainability network for the climate points you have collected. Each completed challenge not only brings a reduction in your carbon footprint, but also attractive rewards from our partners who are also committed to a greener and more sustainable world.
