Our listeners can tune in 24 hours a day for news and information from NPR, PRI, the BBC and our own newsroom. In this new version you can read KUT news stories from within the app, as well as top stories from NPR and the Texas Standard. You can now also receive important news alerts and notifications from the KUT newsroom--we promise not to spam you with too many messages, we'll just alert you when there's important information to share with our audience. You can always opt to turn this off! We've also included access to many of our podcasts episodes. Once you've found your new favorite, just subscribe to it on your preferred podcast app.

The KUT app provides an all digital, efficient stream using the AAC+ codec. It sounds great on all platforms, devices, radios and over cellular. You can of course listen to KUT when you're traveling outside of Austin, and even the country, to stay connected to home. Tap in some headphones or plug your phone and have a listen!

I love KUT so much I want to listen to it while I walk, but, ouch, this app is really bad. Constantly freezes and hangs. I am only giving it two stars because of the 10+ times I have used it, it worked fairly well once. Update 1.21.20 App worked great for about a year, but only when connected to WiFi. Now, when I launch the player, the app closes and quits about 7 times before it plays. Hoping this gets fixed soon.

works great! i always want to hear the "end of the story" when i get out of the car to go shopping [or whatever I'm doing] and the app is great for that (especially where there is free wifi). there's a small ad right when you turn it on that doesn't bother me at all (it might even just be a "sponsored by" spot, I've never even noticed). works just fine. thanks!

App constantly crashes and needs to be reloaded. Now I just get an unresponsive error every time I open it making it completely useless. I've tried uninstalling, then reinstalling, but nothing. Please fix as I love KUT and am often traveling or on foot and I don't have access to a radio. Update 8/4/20: App is back to stopping playback at random times. Very frustrating.
