Empowered Patient is an educational app developed to strengthen the patient's active participation in their own safety during healthcare.

The app presents, in a clear and accessible way, the International Patient Safety Goals, guiding the user to identify each goal, understand its importance, and work together with healthcare professionals to promote safer care.

The app's purpose is to empower the patient, encouraging them to:

Recognize safe practices in healthcare;

Actively participate in decisions related to their care;

Question, when necessary, procedures that may compromise their safety;

Establish more effective communication with the healthcare team.

With inclusion and accessibility in mind, the app features accessible content in Libras (Brazilian Sign Language), expanding access to information and promoting equity in healthcare.

Empowered Patient is aimed at all audiences and contributes to building a culture of safety, where patient and professional work together for safer, more conscious, and humanized care.
