About this game

Twenty-One/Blackjack

Blackjack (21) is a popular card game played directly against the dealer (dealer), combining chance and strategy. The main objective of the game is to achieve a score higher than the dealer's hand without exceeding 21, or to reach exactly 21.

Card Point Values:
The suit (hearts, spades, diamonds, clubs) is irrelevant; only the numerical value of the cards matters:

Cards between 2 and 10: Worth the number of points shown (e.g., 5 = 5 points).
Jack (J), Queen (Q), King (K): Each is worth 10 points.
Ace (A): Counts as 1 or 11 points depending on the hand. If it is counted as 11, it automatically counts as 1 if the hand exceeds 21.

Basic Game Flow:
1) Placing Bets: Players place their bets on the table before the round begins.

2) Dealing the Cards: The dealer deals two face-up cards to each player. The player receives two cards, one face up and one face down.

3) Blackjack Situation: If the sum of the first two cards is directly 21 (e.g., Ace + King), this is called Blackjack, and the player immediately wins 1.5 times their bet (at odds of 3:2) to end the round.

4) Player Moves: The player whose turn it is makes one of the following decisions based on their hand total:

Move
Description

Hit: Ask the dealer for an additional card to get closer to 21.

Stand: If the hand is deemed sufficient, no more cards are taken, and the turn passes.

Double Down: Double the bet, but the player can only take one more card.

Split: If the first two cards are of the same value (e.g., 8-8), the hand is split in two and played as two separate games.

Insurance: If the dealer's face-up card is an Ace, the player can pay an insurance premium equal to half of their bet against the dealer getting Blackjack.

Dealer's Rules

After the players have finished their moves, the dealer reveals their face-down card. The dealer cannot make the same free decisions as the players; they are bound by strict rules:

- If the dealer's total is 16 or less, the dealer must draw another card. - If the dealer's total reaches 17 or higher, the dealer must stop drawing cards.

Game Ending and Winning Scenarios

- Bust: The side (player or dealer) that reaches 21 by drawing cards loses instantly. If the player reaches 21, the player loses their bet even if the dealer hasn't drawn yet.

- Push: If the player and dealer have the same hand (e.g., both are 19), the game ends in a tie, and the player gets their bet back.

-Winning: The player wins at odds of 1:1 if they have a higher score than the banker (without exceeding 21) or if the banker explodes (exceeds 21).
