About this game

English Beach helps EFL (English as a foreign language) learners to memorize common vocabulary by associating sounds with pictures. Learners will pick up new vocabulary naturally while playing engaging games. Several of the mini-games focus on associating written words with sounds to encourage sight-reading.

Backstory: Wizard and Barbarian, the only remaining warriors of the once formidable army of Englishtopia, find themselves on a beach, propelled ever onward by a somewhat reggae-like tune that seems to emanate from the sand itself.

Help Barbarian to work out in the gym, or use over 350 English words in games such as Carta, Tap and Slide, Tic Tac Toe, Bubble, English Runner, and English Galaxy. There's also alphabet practice offered by a biplane which frequently flies along English Beach.

Carta: Tap the word you hear to break through the walls and defeat your enemies.

Tap & Slide: Listen carefully and arrange the words in the order you hear them.

Tic Tac Toe: Match your wits against your nemesis, the Octopus King, in a series of expanding tic-tac-toe boards (3x3, 4x4, 5x5).

Bubble: Use your cannon to fire bubbles against the rocks above. If you tap matching bubbles they'll explode, breaking through the rocks. 88 levels.

English Runner: Navigate through underwater ruins and try to match spoken words to images (like in Concentration, or Memory). Doing so will form ladders, letting you climb up to the next level. Be careful of the dangerous minions of the Octopus King. 130 levels.

English Galaxy: Blast off into space! Listen to the question and collect all of the orbs that hold pieces of the question. Beware of perilous UFOs!
