About this app

It is an inseparable part of the "DNIe Remote" package and works in conjunction with the desktop application for Windows, which must be downloaded from the official electronic ID portal in the download area:

You will also find a user manual with more details about its installation and operation.

"DNIeSmartConnect" is an application that allows you to use your mobile device as an NFC reader connected to your PC or laptop. Includes an optional widget.

This way you will have the authentication and digital signature capabilities of the electronic DNI version 3.0 in your web browser and office applications without the need for a smart card contact reader.


The most significant characteristics are:

- Checking the status of the certificate and notification in case of expiration or revocation (Internet connection in the required mobile).
- Versions of compatible Android: from 5.1 (LOLLIPOP_MR1).
- Hardware requirements: NFC, Wi-Fi and camera.

Ratings and reviews

It works and the instructions are decently clear, but government apps generally aren't the greatest looking or most straightforward to use. Requires some configuration both on the phone and the computer, even if it is well explained enough.

What horrible app and systems. I am an app developer and can't barely get it to work. Hire some outside consultancy with modern software development practices to make apps and systems for you please.

The app did not recognize my certificate or my husband's. We upgraded the certificates and it still doesn't recognize them
