About this app

Open-red is a citizen-science platform that turns your phone into a portable measurement station. Pair it with specialized Bluetooth devices and contribute your data to open scientific projects about the environment.

WHAT CAN YOU MEASURE?
• Ionizing radiation with RadiaCode: dose rate (µSv/h) and counts per minute (CPM).
• Light pollution with Opple LightMaster 3: illuminance in lux.

OPEN AND COLLABORATIVE SCIENCE

Open-red is an open project. Every track you record is added to the global community map and helps us understand how background radiation or night-sky brightness varies across your area. Data is indicative and depends on the sensor, calibration and measurement conditions.
