About this app

This computer application represents one of the most complete qualitative control banding methods for evaluating the risk of dermal exposure to chemical substances, allowing the user to make an approximate initial estimate during the performance of a specific task.

The basic structure of the tool is very similar to that of other qualitative methodologies for assessing risk due to exposure to chemical agents, on the one hand it estimates the danger, mainly through the information provided in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), and on the other hand, the exposure, combining the results to estimate the risk, offering the recommendation of a series of control measures.

Therefore, the user will be able with this tool:

- Qualitatively assess the degree of danger that a certain product or chemical can cause dermally.
- Qualitatively assess the degree of exposure to a certain product or chemical substance during the performance of a specific task.
- Estimate the level of risk due to dermal exposure to a certain product or chemical substance and obtain proposals for improvement.
- Manage the risk of dermal exposure, for this the user may introduce additional control measures to proceed to a reassessment of the risk and to determine the degree of effectiveness of the measures considered.
