The Prices and Markets Observatory is conceived as a flexible and intuitive tool that allows you to reach a wide and diverse audience, pricing information and market.

The selection of content has been made taking into account the potential recipients, among which are all professionals involved in the marketing chain of agri-food and fishery products, in the auxiliary industry, trade press, consulting firms and, in general, public interested in having timely and accurate prices recorded by the main Andalusian agricultural and fishery products information.

Although there are many products that the user can obtain information, it should be noted both for its regional importance as the breakdown of their prices, olive oil, production of horticultural greenhouses, strawberry or citrus. In the case of fishery products the user can obtain price information representative products such as sardine, anchovy, white shrimp, sea bream and shrimp, among others.
 
Methodological aspects that define prices have been carefully designed, differing from other applications of existing market prices in the publication of weighted average prices, in which the volume of each item is associated with its corresponding price, yield, and, a weighted average price of the product.

In order to track the formation of prices along the supply chain, the application allows for agricultural products see prices up to four different trading positions: origin, center handling and processing, domestic wholesale markets and consumption. Prices in origin and handling facility correspond to products of Andalusian origin, while domestic wholesale markets and consumption, it is selling products in domestic establishments. While in the case of fishery products the application offers two commercial positions price, origin and consumption. Gate prices are obtained from the first sale notes transmitted daily to the Autonomous Administration Andalusian fish markets. Consumer prices are obtained from direct surveying in Andalusian retailers.

The application user will have access to:
For agricultural products
- Last available price campaign and price of the previous week.
- Price of the same week of the previous season.
- Charts price trend in the last eight weeks.
- All publications of different sectors.
Prices are weekly or daily in the case of having prices
newspapers-and are broken down into three levels: product, type and subtype.

For fishery products.
- Last price available and previous price.
- Same price last year.
- Charts price trend for last eight records.
Gate prices are daily, distinguishing different geographical areas (rasher, province, region). Consumer prices are weekly and are broken down into two levels: species and product.
