History and Heritage: Algatocín is a town of uncertain origin, with vestiges of Roman settlements in Cerrogordo. Its traditional architecture, with narrow, steep streets, preserves its ancient charm. Noteworthy attractions include the Church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, built on the site of an old Muslim palace, and the hermitage of El Calvario, located at the highest point of the town, offering panoramic views of the valley.
