About this app

Transitour Driver is the driver app for Transitour, the operations platform for coach, bus, limousine and taxi companies.

Each morning you open the app and see exactly what you have to do: your jobs for the day, the vehicle assigned to you and the route for each trip. When you finish, the report reaches the office with no calls and no paperwork.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Passwordless sign-in. SMS link and biometric unlock (Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint). No credentials to memorise.

• Your jobs for the day. Pending, in progress and done, with departure time, passenger count and customer. One tap opens the details, and you can page back through earlier days.

• Vehicle of the day. Pick your vehicle when you start. Vehicles in use by another driver or in the workshop show as locked.

• Before you leave. Pickup, destination, customer, phone and service notes on a single screen. One-tap navigation to your maps app.

• On the road. Live GPS tracking with time, distance and speed. On-board passenger count with a warning when the vehicle's capacity is exceeded.

• Extras and receipts. Record what you spent on the job — tolls, parking, fuel, a wash — and photograph the receipt. The office handles the pricing. Anything you leave for later waits for you instead of being lost.

• Ad-hoc jobs. Start an unscheduled trip from your current location when operations require it.

• When you finish. An automatic summary of distance, duration and passengers is reported to the office.

BUILT FOR THE CAB

Large buttons, high contrast and one main action per screen. Ending a job is confirmed with a press-and-hold to avoid accidental taps. An offline indicator shows when coverage drops, and anything you record without coverage is sent as soon as it returns.

FOR TRANSPORT COMPANIES

Transitour Driver works with a Transitour account: your company provides the credentials. Dispatchers assign jobs and vehicles from the Transitour panel and receive reports in real time.

Data hosted in the EU and processed in accordance with GDPR.

LOCATION

The app uses the device location during a service to record the route, distance and trip status. Tracking happens only while a service is in progress.

What’s new

Fixes for trips that recorded less of your route than you actually drove.

• The route is uploaded in small batches, so a long stretch is no longer rejected and lost on the way to the office.
• Positions that cannot be sent are kept on the phone and sent the next time you open the app, instead of being discarded.
• Recording keeps running while the screen is off or you are in another app, so the whole trip is measured.
