WardUs is a mobile application designed with a defined purpose: to improve personal safety and encourage citizen solidarity during emergency situations. With the push of a button, it issues alerts to nearby users, sending real-time location, thus reducing assistance time. Additionally, this app allows users to send alerts to their closest contacts and share their location in real time.
On the other hand, WardUs provides the possibility of making audio and video recordings, allowing users to accurately and detailedly document the situation they are facing. In this way, communication with authorities or rescue personnel is facilitated, generating evidence and allowing them to better understand the situation.
Other extra functionalities are worth highlighting. First of all, WardUs acts as a personal security assistant. If the user says "WardUs help" a tab automatically opens announcing that an alert is about to be issued. The user has 8 seconds to cancel the alert if they do not wish to proceed. Secondly, taking advantage of the data obtained from emergency warnings, we can identify the most dangerous areas of each city, which allows us to calculate the safest route between two places.
WardUs targets users concerned about their personal safety, including urban residents, students, travelers, and professionals who work unconventional hours. It is focused mainly on women and men between 14 and 44 years old, on fathers and mothers concerned about the safety of their children, and on foreigners.
The application is distinguished by its comprehensive approach to security, combining immediate alerts, community solidarity and advanced data tracking and analysis technology.
