About this app

Tally is a bookkeeping tool for Ethiopian shops, cafes and service businesses. Your attendant scans the QR code on the customer's receipt, or types the reference by hand. Tally reads that receipt from the bank or the wallet, checks it against your own accounts, and records the sale.

WHAT TALLY CHECKS
• The bank has the receipt on record.
• The money reached an account you own.
• The amount is the amount you were told.
• The receipt is fresh, and not an old one shown again.
• The same receipt was not already used for another sale.

RECEIPTS TALLY READS
CBE, Telebirr, Bank of Abyssinia and Awash Bank. Add every account your customers send money to. Tally is not connected to any bank, and it never asks for your bank login.

FOR THE ATTENDANT
• My Day: everything you brought in today, verified and cash together.
• A verdict anyone can read, with what to do next.
• Works offline: an entry waits on the phone and sends itself when the network returns.
• Tips: split a tip off a larger sale, so the end-of-day count is easy.

FOR THE OWNER
• Dashboard: today, yesterday, seven days, this month, or a range you pick.
• A total for each person, and every sale behind it.
• End-of-day counts: count a cash box and see balanced, short or over.
• Team: invite an attendant with the shop code. Remove a person, and the history stays.
• Branches: a second and a third place, each with its own tills, staff and day.

ENGLISH AND AMHARIC
Every screen is in both languages. Each person picks the language on their own phone.
