A dynamic party game where no one can feel safe. At the beginning of each round, most players are given the same secret word. Most, but not all, are. One or more players are assigned the role of the imposter and have no idea what the password is. From that moment on, a festival of bluffing, improvisation, and highly suspicious answers begins.
Players take turns describing the word, trying to prove they know it without revealing it directly. Too detailed a description can lead the imposter to the wrong end; too general a description will make everyone look at you. Meanwhile, imposters scheme, copy other people's words, and do everything they can to sound believable. Each round quickly descends into chaos filled with laughter, accusations, and conspiracy theories.
The goal of the game is to expose the imposter before it's too late, or to survive until the end of the round, if you are the imposter. The game rewards cunning, creativity, and the ability to lie with a straight face. Knowledge or reflexes aren't necessary; it's all about talking and observing the other players' reactions.
It's the perfect game for house parties, trips, team-building events, and any time a group of people wants to have a laugh and be a little distrustful. Simple rules allow you to start playing in seconds, and each round is different and more absurd than the last.
