Plan your EV route with optimized pricing – no subscription required. Map, real-time pricing, and charging planning all in one app.
A route planner that anticipates your needs
Enter your start, destination, vehicle type, and charge level – ChargeIndex plans your trip, including suitable charging stops. A physical consumption model (aerodynamics, rolling resistance, real elevation profile, recuperation) calculates the energy required for each leg.
A "Pain Score" is calculated for each charging stop option – a weighted penalty based on travel time, charging time, detours, costs, and a risk buffer. Lower score = better option. You decide the price-time factor: faster charging via HPC chargers or cheaper charging at slower stations. Up to five alternatives are available per stop, sorted by Pain Score – each opens directly in Google Maps.
Map with real-time pricing
Each charging station displays its current kWh price. The color indicates the charging power:
Green: up to 22 kW – AC
Blue: 23–100 kW – DC fast charger
Orange: over 100 kW – Hypercharger (20–80% in 15–25 min.)
Charging stations located close together are grouped into clusters with the lowest prices.
Your Prices
Enter your own prices or your charging cards – ChargeIndex will then calculate the costs that apply to you instead of standard prices.
Your Garage (optional)
Save your vehicles along with their own data (battery capacity, consumption, charging time) so that your route and consumption are optimized. Registration is optional – the map, search, and planning work without an account. With Apple or Google login, the garage synchronizes across devices; you can delete your account at any time in the app.
