Reads the original capture date from EXIF (photos) or QuickTime (videos) metadata and restores the file modification date.
The most reliable method — works for any file taken with a camera or smartphone.

Files without EXIF or Quicktime metadata but with a date in the filename (e.g. IMG_20240315_143022.jpg) can still be fixed.

I'm giving this app a 5 star review because it did fix the order of my Facebook gallery photos, since my switch from IOS to Samsung. The only issue I'm having is on Facebook, when I go to upload a photo from any time point, it's saying the photo was taken today (when I fixed the issue with the app) and not the original date it was taken. Is there a way to fix it? I did buy the premium for context. :) if someone could help me fix this, that would be great

Amazing app, but if you need more advanced file renaming, organizing, formatting, or EXIF/metadata modifying tools, you should try their other app, "Batch Rename & Organize", which seems to do everything this can and more!! I also recommend buying the pro version to get the best experience, and a couple bucks to support a good, ethical, small developer is worth it!!!

I'm incredibly happy with the results. I transfered my photos from iOS to Samsung and they were all out of order in Instagrams photo gallery. I bought the premium version for it to fix the Instagram inbuilt gallery and it worked perfectly. My thanks go out to the developer for creating this simple to use tool. This was the only solution to my problem that worked.
