About this app

Speed is computed from GPS and lags a car's own speedometer by a second or two. In a tunnel or between buildings there is no signal and the number freezes. A car speedometer usually reads high, so a disagreement is normal rather than a fault.

The instrument uses the phone's GPS and shows the value in km/h.

• A car cluster: the arc turns yellow after 60 and red after 120.
• The trip peak stays as a mark on the scale.
• A 15-second time-speed chart with marks at 60, 120 and 180.
• A daylight scheme for the windscreen — sun and moon.
• SHARE sends a picture of the peak on the dial.
• A trip records itself: distance, time, average and peak.
• No ads. Under a megabyte.

Location is used only to compute speed. No route is stored or sent anywhere.

The app sends anonymous usage statistics; you can turn this off in settings.

Independent development: one person builds and maintains this app. A letter to [e-mail] is read by that person, not by a support desk.

What’s new

A new icon. A dashboard gauge with a needle instead of a ring with spokes: the instrument is recognisable in the app list at a glance, without reading the label.
