About this app
NoteBerg is a privacy-first note-taking app for handwriting, rich text,
and PDF annotation - with optional Nextcloud sync.
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
All notes are stored locally on your device. Sync is optional and only
works with a Nextcloud server you control. We have no servers, no accounts,
no cloud of our own.
HANDWRITING & DRAWING
Write naturally with a stylus - pressure sensitivity supported
Pen and marker/highlighter tools with customizable colors
Lasso selection - move, resize, rotate and copy handwritten strokes
Unlimited undo/redo
RICH TEXT EDITING

NoteBerg is currently in beta and has not undergone a formal security
audit - please avoid storing highly sensitive data. Feedback and bug
reports are welcome via GitHub Issues.
Note: automatic handwriting recognition currently requires a local
Windows recognition service and is not available on Android; handwriting,
drawing, rich text, PDF annotation and sync all work fully on Android.

What’s new
- New: AI handwriting recognition comes to Android. Pick a vision model,
local or cloud, and your handwritten notes become searchable. Off by
default: nothing is sent until you turn it on and agree to the destination.
- Recognition runs as a queue you can leave: start it and keep working.
- Settings are now grouped into sections instead of one long page.
- Fixed panning and zooming breaking after a call or app switch.
- Fixed Nextcloud URLs with a port number being rejected.
