About this app

18up lets you prove you are older than a certain age without revealing who you are. No name, no date of birth, no photo, no ID number just a simple "yes, 18 or older" to the party that asks.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Prove you are 18 or older anonymously, in person or online.
- Share only "18+" or "Not 18+" — and nothing else.
- Scan an organisation's QR code, or show your own QR, to start.
- Review every request before you agree, and decline whenever you want.

WHY IT IS USEFUL
- Show you are old enough for age-restricted products or services without handing over your full identity.
- Stop oversharing: businesses no longer need your name, ID or a scan of your passport.
- Fewer copies of your personal details are left behind with others.
- You stay in control of what you share, with whom, and when.

PRIVACY AND SECURITY
- The app stores only whether you are 18 or older — nothing more.
- Businesses receive only "18+" or "Not 18+".
- Your proof lives only on your phone, and nowhere else.
- Access is protected with a PIN that you choose.
