About this app

This application provides access to the Liturgy of the Hours in French.

Why yet another application for the breviary?

To have a version available without requiring any internet connection (everything is within the application) and to correct the shortcomings of existing applications, which all depend on the aelf.org website.

Examples of improvements:

- The ability to pray the Common from the Chapter for the memorials (Lauds and Vespers, cf. PGLH 235.b).

- The two antiphons are included for the psalms of Lauds and Vespers in Ordinary Time;

- The antiphon for the year (A/B/C) for the Sunday Gospel hymns;

- The ability to choose from the four psalms for the Invitatory;

- The imprecatory verses;

- A reliable and well-paginated Office of Readings with the latest liturgical translation, as well as readings according to the two-year cycle;

- The ability to add the propers of a diocese.

A few saints are still missing (for national propers).

Coming soon:

- The ability to pray optional memorials;

- The ability to compose a personalized Office.
