MushroomCheck helps you identify mushrooms: You photograph your find, the AI assesses what species it might be, and you immediately receive the relevant information, including possible look-alikes.
Important note: MushroomCheck is a guide and not a guarantee of safe consumption. Identification by photo is never 100% certain; even the AI can be wrong. Never eat a mushroom solely based on an app result. If in doubt, consult an official mushroom advisory service. The decision and responsibility always remain with you.
Identify by Photo: Take a photo of the mushroom or select an image from your gallery, tap "Identify," and you're done. You'll receive the most likely species with an assessment, their edibility (from edible to deadly poisonous), and information on dangerous look-alikes.
Encyclopedia with 499 Species: Profiles of 499 mushroom species from German-speaking regions: season, habitat, cap, underside, stem, smell, and potential look-alikes. Each species is clearly labeled as edible, conditionally edible, inedible, poisonous, or deadly poisonous.

With a free account, you can save species as favorites, add notes, such as about the location where they were found, and keep track of your identification progress. Everything is synchronized across all your devices.
FREE AND PRO
With the free version, you can identify up to three mushrooms per day, each followed by two short ads. MushroomCheck PRO, at €19 per year, allows unlimited identification without any daily limits and completely ad-free. The identification process itself is identical in both cases; PRO delivers no different results. The subscription is managed through Google Play and can be canceled at any time.
DATA PROTECTION
We do not access your GPS location. Before analyzing your photo, we remove embedded metadata such as location and camera information. The photo is processed solely for identification purposes. Only a small preview image is permanently stored in your history, and you can delete this individually at any time. You can also delete your entire account yourself at any time.
