About this app

The Barik App is a new free application from the Bizkaia Transport Consortium that will replace the current Barik NFC and Barik Mobile apps, offering both services to Barik system users in a single application. The Barik NFC service allows users to check and top up their stored value balance and other transport tickets on any physical Barik card, at any time of day, from any location, without having to visit a physical point of sale on the transport network. The Barik Mobile service allows users to travel on Bizkaia public transport directly with their mobile phone. To use this service, users must either virtualize their personalized physical card through the app itself or be registered in the Barik system and generate a new personalized virtual Barik card.

The Barik card check and top-up service allows users to:
- Check the balance of any Barik card simply by holding it near the device.

- Purchase and top-up of stored value tickets and temporary tickets instantly, including reservations.
- Secure payment by card and Bizum. - Purchase ticket generation.

- View the network map.

- Top-up of Barik web purchases.

The mobile validation service allows you to:
- Travel on public transport in Bizkaia without needing a physical card, except for RENFE, the Vizcaya Bridge (Puente Colgante), and the Portugalete ferry. You cannot use the Barik card on your mobile device for discounts at park-and-ride facilities within the transport network.

- Top up your virtual card balance and temporary tickets, including reserved tickets.

- Secure payment by card and Bizum.

- Purchase ticket generation.

- View the contents of your Barik Mobile card and current travel status.

- Functions related to temporary tickets (zone extensions and unlocking tickets).
- Access Moveuskadi.

The mobile application is distributed "as is," therefore CTB is not responsible for any direct or indirect damage that may occur as a result of using or installing this application on your mobile device.

Nueva versión de la aplicación BARIK, completamente rediseñada, que integra en una única plataforma todas las funcionalidades de las actuales aplicaciones Barik NFC y Barik Mobile, permitiendo a las personas usuarias consultar y recargar sus tarjetas físicas de forma sencilla y segura y posibilitándoles el acceso al transporte público de Bizkaia mediante la validación directa con el teléfono móvil, simplemente aproximándolo a los equipos de validación.
