About this app

Do you always sit there during the Scrum refinement meeting and have only boring standard cards with you? That's over now. Planning Cards is the newest and most beautiful way to play Planning Poker. The app has been lovingly designed and has lots of little extras to get you out of the daily grind and make a round of Planning Poker something special.

What are Planning Poker (or Scrum Poker) cards?
Planning Cards help you to better estimate the effort required for individual work packages. These are evaluated by each participant on the basis of their complexity and then revealed together. Through this kind of hidden voting, the participants do not influence each other when estimating in agile projects.

What is Planning Poker?
Planning Poker, also known as Scrum Poker, comes from agile software development and deals with estimating the complexity of individual work packages. Planning Poker is most commonly used in agile software development, especially in the agile Scrum method.

What are the rules?
Each participant chooses their estimate face down and places their card on the table. At the same time, the cards are revealed and the selected cards are evaluated.

For the estimation, the app offers the following decks:
- Normal deck of cards
- Fibonacci card deck
- T-Shirt card deck
- Custom card deck (Pro-Feature)

You don't know how your team thinks?
Do you also have the problem when you join a new team that you don't know on what basis the stories are estimated? No problem.
Planning Cards now also lets you create reference stories, so that all team members know which kind of story has how many Story Points.

You ever heard of Scrum?
This is your first time in an agile project with a team and you don't know anything about Scrum yet? Or do you just want to read up on the topic?
We have packed the complete Scrum Guide in Planning Cards for you, so that you have access to all useful information about Planning Poker and the Scrum process at any time. Currently the guide is available in German and English (more will follow).

Become more efficient with the Timebox
Do meetings often last longer than planned? Do some topics get a raw deal, while others feel like being discussed for hours? Use the timebox integrated in Planning Cards to focus on the not to lose, to structure the meeting better and to use the time optimally.

What else does Planning Cards offer you?
- Attractive design and many colours
- Small animations that are fun to watch
- No unnecessary authorizations; minimum authorizations
- Easy handling due to good usability
- Tap or shake to reveal the cards
- Settings for the sensitivity of the sensors

I was hoping the "custom cards" would allow me to stack an emoji, image, and number all together. You can't choose images/animations. Adding an emoji to a number makes them both bleed off one side of the screen or another. I can't choose number/font styles. In reality, I am looking for something that lets me put an emoji reaction on each estimate--this goes beyond custom cards. I would NOT recommend the pro version at this stage. Hopefully it gets better. Edit: I DID get the pro version.
