About this app

This app is a practice tool for all singing students and teachers.

Get ready for exams, auditions and competitions with RIAM Accompaniments. Download and practise with the recordings of the accompaniments to all the songs on the 2019 Classical Voice syllabus of the Royal Irish Academy of Music Local Centre Examinations or request a track to be recorded by our world-class accompanists.

RIAM Accompaniments is build on Rubber Band Audio technology provided by Breakfast Quay. More info available at https://rubberbandaudio.com. This means you can alter the tempo and pitch to suit you! Find the right speed and range for your voice or slow down a difficult passage to practise.

Use the Notebasher function to see how the solo line fits with the accompaniment.

Set and toggle repeats to practise small sections on a loop.

The Cadenza function will wait for you to do your own thing! Just click play when you're ready for the accompaniment to jump back in.

Combine all the functions at the same time! Slow it down, turn the Notebasher on and set a loop to learn a difficult section quickly and efficiently.

This is not a MIDI playback app- all recordings are made by real professional musicians and are of the highest quality. Check out the ‘Free Tracks’ section to try it out!

You can download tracks individually to keep or you can purchase a monthly subscription which unlocks all tracks. All purchases transfer across Android devices.

Request a track through the app if it's not on the syllabus!
