About this app

Sickle is a farming plan in your mobile phone and block accounting in your pocket. It also includes inventory accounting, map markings, block allocation and threshing time forecasts. If you have a status ID, you can use Sirpi for free.

According to the feedback, Sirppi is very easy and quick to use. Many have said that it also made the inspection situation easier on both conventional and organic farms.

Sirppi uses the location information of the fields and brings the cultivation information of the right block to the screen when you are in the field and open Sickle. With one click, you can acknowledge the cultivation procedures as done. You can add and change block accounting transactions directly on your mobile phone. With efficient event filtering and mobile phone positioning, the screen automatically shows exactly the sowing or spraying you need.

In addition to block accounting, with Sirpi you can make map markings either for your own location or by clicking on the map from the desired location. The map marking can be waste oats, landing hole, etc., and a photo can also be attached to it. The sickle also shows property boundaries. If you wish, you can share map markings, e.g. as a WhatApp message or Google Maps driving directions. The message contains a photo and a link that opens the map in the browser. The recipient does not need to log in or install anything. You can also distribute desired blocks in an instant to e.g. a contractor or an inspector.

Sirppi shows the temperature sums and precipitation amounts of almost 200 weather stations of the Finnish Meteorological Institute. Based on heat sum and variety data, it predicts threshing times in blocks. The nearest weather station is searched for automatically. You can see the rainfall of the last month or the last week at a glance.

Sirppi includes highly automated inventory accounting, which is also suitable for organic farms.

Sickle can be used either as an independent application or as an aid to other farming software.

If you have the Peltotuki program, you can use it to create Sicker IDs. This is how information is synchronized between Sirpi and Peltotue.

If you want to use Sirpp as an independent application, you can create a username for yourself when you start Sirpp for the first time. Then Sirppi retrieves the block data directly from the administration's Vipu system. Usually, your blocks and maps are on the Sickle screen in less than three minutes.

Independent Sirppi includes complete cultivation planning, calculates nutrient ceilings and retrieves plant protection agent restriction data every night from the Tukes plant protection agent register.

Many people are surprised by how easy it is to use Sirpi and how much a good application helps their own work and decision-making. The sickle is sufficient for the farm's only cultivation program, but also complements other programs well. For example, organic farms get both block accounting and organic warehouse accounting in the same package.

Vipu growth blocks are displayed in Sirpi on top of the Land Survey's map or aerial photo. On the block map, you can see how the field blocks have been divided in different years and what crops have grown on them. On the field map, you can filter to display e.g. the waste oat markings of the previous year and easily navigate to the right place. You can mark, for example, a nursery management site on the forest map, attach a photo to it, and then share the map mark as a WhatApp message directly to the forest advisor. When looking for property boundaries, Sickle is often the fastest tool.

By clicking on a block on the map, you can quickly see the cultivation events of the desired block. If you are in the field yourself, Sirppi automatically shows the events of the right field with the help of mobile phone positioning.

Sickle includes inventory accounting, which is suitable for product flow accounting for organic farms, feed accounting for animal farms, and maintaining grain and supply stocks for all farms. The sickle's inventory accounting is highly automated and retrieves most of the information automatically from the block accounting. Stock status and stock value can be seen directly on the mobile phone.
