NOTE! Remember to give all the required permissions that the application asks for when installing. Also those "health data", "body sensors" etc. etc., otherwise your car won't show up on the map!
Of course, APE does not sniff any of your health data, but APE needs the tablet's motion detection sensor, because if the tablet is not moving, it will not try to ask for the latest location from GPS either, and this saves a little battery. In addition, your car will not appear on the map at all if you do not give this permission.
This use of the motion detection sensor is in Android for these "health data" etc. behind the functions, that's why APE asks for permission to use them. The actual asking for permission comes directly from Android, and there's no way to change the actual question to a friendlier one, so it just coldly asks for permission to access your health information, and of course it sounds scary or at least strange. APE is not interested in your health status or other exercise data and it does nothing with them. :)
The application uses the location (for positioning and distance measurement) when it is also in the background (i.e. the screen is closed or another app is in use). The location is not used or sent anywhere if you are not logged into the car.
