Khayelitsha FM prides itself on its unique music and talk content. The station’s music genre is Gospel, Kwaito, Maskandi, Jazz, Afropop, Amapiano, R&B, hip-hop and house. Presenters are given considerable freedom to play their own choice in music and to talk about whatever issues they feel are relevant for the community. Khayelitsha FM’s format is 60% music and 40% talk. The primary broadcast language is IsiXhosa, with occasional switches into English.
