Grill ProbeE is an APP software to monitor the real-time barbecue status. Works for FMG Bluetooth BBQ Thermometers. Based on bluetooth 4.0 version, it is compatible for almost iPhone products which is new than iPhone4S. Grill ProbeE can monitor 4 wireless probes temperature data for barbecue at the same time and issue the alarm. It has three barbecue modes can be optional, RECIPE, TEMPERATURE and TIMER. If I hadn't gotten this as a gift I would return it and spend on a better supported app. The app works in that it reads temp and is accurate but the the alert function only uses vibrate and can't ring. Also it requiring permissings to contacts/video etc. is concerning. Not having anymore app updates since 2020 is a clear warning sign. Also FYI the probe bluetooth range is not great and the stated 4 hour battery life is not long enough for most cooks.

I bought a Meat Champ wireless thermometer on AliExpress. They said to use Grill ProbeE as the interface between the thermometer and my Android device, but it wouldn't pair. From the reviews I notice that I'm not alone with this issue. Many other users have the same problem. I know from experience that Amazon would have accepted the return of the thermometer for a full refund, but no such luck with AliExpress. Lesson learned.

Like some, I paired the probe with my phone. App would not work. Removed the phone pairing and paired it WITH THE APP by clicking the upper right button of the app. It paired and app worked. Bottom line, use the app to pair the probe, not your phone. It might solve the the app problem.
