This app displays your current location, address, and elevation. You can send map information (a URL containing latitude and longitude) and your address via email, making it easy to share your location with family and friends. You can also register your current location in a database, allowing you to record where you've been and visited.
1. The map displays your current location in the center. Map types include Standard (maximum zoom 19), Satellite (maximum zoom 19), and Terrain (maximum zoom 17). Satellite displays satellite imagery. Terrain displays contour lines.
With GPS ON, your current location is always displayed in the center. Touching and moving the map will return it to your current location.
With GPS OFF, you can move the map. Touching and moving the map will not return it to your current location.
Speed is displayed in km/h, but because it's calculated from GPS, the value may not be accurate depending on GPS reception.
Touching [Current Location] will turn GPS ON, even if it's OFF, and display your current location in the center of the map.
Touching [Register] registers your current location in the database. Registration is possible when GPS is ON.
Touching [Home] displays the standard (zoom 18) map of your current location.
Touching [Mail] allows you to send the URL of your current location map and address via email, letting family and friends know your location. Email sending is possible when GPS is ON.
2. The address displays latitude, longitude, country code, country name, postal code, prefecture, city/ward/town/village, city/ward/town/village pronunciation, town, town pronunciation, block, house number, and building number.
3. The elevation displays the current location on the Geographical Survey Institute map.
4. The registration list is a list of registered maps. You can sort by date/time, longitude, latitude, and address. Each touch cycles through ascending and descending order.
Touching [Standard], [Satellite], or [Terrain] displays the registered map using the information registered in the database.
Touching [DB Export] will save the database to the Download folder as a file named maprec_backup.json. Please use this for database backups or migration when changing devices.
Touching [DB Import] will import the maprec_backup.json file saved in the Download folder. Please note that importing will overwrite the registration list.
