The Constitutional Council in a nutshell

The Constitutional Council is the independent collegiate jurisdiction responsible for ensuring compliance of the laws with the major constitutional principles.
The Constitutional Council is also an electoral judge. He controls the regularity of all the operations concerning the presidential election and the referendums, of which he also proclaims the results.
