Frux lists fruit trees and wild plants to gather near you. Forgotten apple trees by the roadside, blackberries along hedgerows, chestnut trees at the edge of the forest, communal walnut trees whose nuts go unharvested. Everything is shared by a community of foragers.
FIND FRUIT NEAR YOU
Open the map and see what's available to pick nearby. Each marker indicates the species, the harvestable part, and its season. Search for a town or address to plan your outing. Save your favorite spots to return to them at the right time. Trees already listed remain accessible offline.
SHARE YOUR FINDS
A tree laden with fruit that no one is picking? Add it to the map in seconds, along with a photo and your level of certainty about the species. Other foragers can then benefit. On-site, they note what they've seen and report any questionable identification or missing trees. The map improves over time.
PICK AT THE RIGHT TIME
Each species has its harvest window. Frux indicates what's ripening, so the fruit ends up in jam rather than on the ground.
HARVESTING TOGETHER
When a tree is overflowing with fruit, start a harvest and invite other pickers to join you. Frux reminds each participant of the meeting time.
STAY UP-TO-DATE
The Activity log in your profile gathers the activity of your trees and favorites, as well as updates on the harvests you're following. You choose what you receive via notifications and email.
FREE, WITH ALCOHOL-BASED ADVERTISING
Frux is free. On the mobile app, discreet advertising funds the map. It never appears the first time you use it. No ads appear on a tree page or next to a safety warning. You choose whether they can be personalized, and declining is as easy as accepting. The web app remains ad-free.
The Frux+ subscription, at €11.99 per year, removes all ads and adds maturity alerts: Frux notifies you when one of your favorite species enters its season. You can cancel at any time from Google Play.
WHAT FRUX DOESN'T DO
Frux doesn't identify plants for you. The displayed species is a user declaration, never a guarantee, and the app never states that a plant is edible. When we indicate a possible confusion with a poisonous plant, it's written and sourced information. The absence of a warning means "undocumented," never "safe."
The rule before consuming: always check for yourself, with a field guide or a knowledgeable person. If in doubt, abstain. Mushrooms are excluded from the map and will remain so.
YOUR DATA
No data resale. Login is password-free, using a six-digit code sent by email. Your favorites are for your personal use only and remain private. You can export or delete all your data from your profile in one simple step, without contacting us.
Location is used to center the map and locate any trees you add. It is used on demand, while the application is open. There is no background tracking or movement history. Denying permissions leaves the application usable.
