About this game

The characters fall. Type their reading before they hit the ground.

Glyphfall teaches three writing systems—Korean Hangeul, Japanese kana, and the first kanji—in fifty-second rounds. No list to recite: a character falls, you type its reading, and you start again. What you struggle with comes back more often.

A PATH THAT UNFOLDS
Fifteen levels per writing system, from the first stroke to a general review.
Each level introduces only two or three characters and blends them with what came before.
Stars mark what you've mastered; the game remembers what you miss and presents it to you again.

FOUR WAYS TO PLAY
Normal for learning, Fast and Ultra when you know the characters, and Endless to see how far you can stick with them.

RECOGNIZE, DON'T PHOTOGRAPH
A character seen in a single font is a memorized image. Each character
falls into one of seven randomly selected styles—printed, handwritten, brushed—and its card shows them side by side. This is the difference between recognizing
a character and recognizing a drawing.

A CARD FOR EACH CHARACTER
How to remember it, using two mnemonic devices. How to pronounce it, case by case: a Korean consonant is pronounced differently at the beginning
of a word, between two vowels, and at the end of a syllable, and each case is given
with its closest French equivalent. For kanji, the ON and KUN readings are provided, along with a word in which to hear them.

A DAILY GOAL
You choose how many minutes per day. The game notifies you when
you've reached your goal and doesn't bother you afterward.

WHAT THERE IS NO
No account. No ads. No purchase required. No permissions needed: no network, no files, no sensors. The game works entirely offline
and transmits nothing because it lacks the technical means to do so.

Entirely in French.
Learn Hangeul, kana and kanji by catching up with the falling characters.
