RappelConso lets you instantly check if a product you buy or own is subject to an official recall in France.

Since version 2.0, the app has also become a collaborative platform: contribute directly to enriching the open product databases (OpenFoodFacts).

SCAN YOUR PRODUCTS
Use your phone's camera to scan a product's barcode. The app immediately checks if it's subject to a recall and displays the result: green (OK) or red (recalled), along with details of the identified risks.

DETAILED PRODUCT INFORMATION
Each scanned product displays its complete information sheet.
If the product is recalled, you can directly access the risks, the affected batches, and the steps to take.

TWO NOTIFICATION METHODS
• "My Products" alerts: get notified if a product you've scanned is subject to a new recall.

• "All Products" Alerts: Receive a notification for every new recall published in France, across all categories.

BROWSE ALL RECALLS
View all recalls published in France. Search by name, brand, or category (food, health & beauty, home, appliances, toys, transportation, etc.). The multi-word search explores 9 different fields for precise results.

CONTRIBUTE TO OPEN FOOD FACTS
Become a product quality advocate! Correct and enrich product information (name, brand, category, photos) directly from the app.
Your contributions feed the world's largest open food database. The application supports four Open Food Facts databases:
• OpenFoodFacts — Food products
• OpenBeautyFacts — Cosmetics
• OpenProductsFacts — Household products
• OpenPetFoodFacts — Pet food
Your contributions are queued and automatically sent in the background.

SOURCE DATA
RappelConso uses open data from the French government, published by the Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) on the data.economie.gouv.fr portal. The database synchronizes automatically and remains accessible offline.

• Recall data comes from the open dataset "RappelConso" published by the DGCCRF under Open License v2.0. Product information comes from Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org) under the ODbL license.

• The publisher does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of the data and disclaims all liability for its use.
