Scellis supports state-registered nurses authorized to conduct death assessments and provides legal protection for each intervention.

A guided process, in legal order
From the initial call to the end of the intervention, Scellis structures the assessment file into three phases: preparation, on-site examination, and handover. Key points—authorization verification, information gathering, and decision-making—are integrated into the process at the appropriate time.

Three clearly defined outcomes
Certification, consultation with a physician in case of doubt, or refusal in the presence of a medico-legal obstacle: each step is documented and time-stamped. In case of doubt or refusal, your file precisely outlines the actions taken.

Sealing and verifiable certification
Upon closure, the file is sealed: locked in read-only mode, its unique identifier is permanently fixed—any subsequent alteration would be detectable. The PDF certificate, equipped with a simple electronic signature (time-stamped trace and document fingerprint) and a QR code, allows a third party to verify its authenticity—without ever accessing medical data.

Designed for field use
Scellis works offline: data entry continues in areas with no network coverage and synchronizes when the network is restored. Optical character recognition of the ID card is performed entirely on the device; voice dictation of the context is transcribed via our server by a European service provider. The GPS location of the intervention is recorded in the patient file.

Your data is protected
Health data is hosted in France by an HDS-certified hosting provider, encrypted at rest and in transit. The social security number and ID card number never leave your device; the photo of the ID card is never stored—it is read from memory for text recognition and then deleted. The sealed file is kept for up to 20 years as long as your account is active; a complete, encrypted export is possible at any time.

Important
The legal death certificate is still generated in CertDc, the official tool. Scellis archives and protects the accompanying examination file: it documents the procedures followed, does not make any diagnoses, and does not suggest any medical decisions.
