EMOM is an English acronym for "Every Minute On the Minute".
Training in EMOM format is a type of interval workout where the principle consists in performing a number of repetitions of a specific exercise in a given time. At the end of this period of time, you must start rehearsals.
There are several types of EMOM training. You can decide that each turn you have to do 2 additional repetitions for example.
Typically, an EMOM workout is set to 1 minute.
So, for example, you have 60 seconds to do 7 Burpees.
If you do them in 30 seconds, you have 30 seconds of recovery before reaching the next round.
If you have decided to increase by two repetitions and perform 10 rounds. The next round you will have to do 9 Burpees in 1 minute. The time left is recovery!
You will understand, if you are too slow to chain your movements, you will have very little recovery, if any recovery.
