Negative Automatic Thoughts:

During our lives, our thinking gets a characteristic pattern, which significantly influences our mood, emotions and actions. Epictetus, an ancient Stoic philosopher, said that people are not disturbed by the things of the world, but by the way they view it.

Patterns of thought that develop in childhood and persist throughout a person’s life. We view the world through these schemes, we evaluate the events of our lives according to them, we accept them as true. "I'm just like that."

Schemes live in us without perceiving them - because we sincerely believe what they dictate to us. They sleep, but when we find ourselves in a situation where their sovereignty is, they wake up and take control. The means of this are negative automatic thoughts.

Thoughts with negative content that arise automatically from our schemas and that distort the assessment of reality and therefore block the way from sober, useful thinking. Negative automatic thoughts embody one negative thought pattern (or even more at once).

Logical errors:

We have a definite opinion about ourselves, the world, our future. If information from the outside world comes to the contrary - we are unsure. Anxiety arises in us. If I’m not what I think I am - how am I? In order to preserve my own little inner world, I distort the information. The means of this are logical errors.
