A PAWN PAIR CAN CHANGE THE WHOLE BOARD
MergeMate combines chess movement with piece merging on a compact 6-by-6 board. Merge two matching pieces to create a stronger one, capture enemies to rebuild your reserves, and choose when to deploy them back into the fight.
The main merge chain is simple: pawns become knights, knights become rooks, and rooks become queens. Moving, merging and deploying each use a turn. A stronger piece is useful only if you create it at the right moment.
100 LEVELS, 10 CHAPTERS
Start with three short lessons, then explore fixed tactical positions, focused puzzles and chapter bosses. Every level has a clear objective. Campaign battles end with a real checkmate.
THREE STARS WITH A PURPOSE
Win the level, win with its original army, and complete its tactical challenge. One level may ask you to capture with a merged piece; another asks you to put a deployed reserve to work. Stars can be collected across different wins. Free hints and undos do not cost stars, and stars are not tied to a move limit.
A DAILY POSITION TO SOLVE
Unlock Daily Puzzle after your first campaign checkmate. Find the key merge and build a daily streak.
CHALLENGE A FRIEND
Create a room and share its four-character code for an online match. Bring your own opponent; there is no open chat.
MADE FOR PORTRAIT PLAY
Clear piece selection, grouped reserves, larger controls, high-contrast board options and reduced-motion settings help you focus on the board. English and Simplified Chinese are included.
The solo campaign plays offline and saves your progress locally. Internet is required for friend matches and optional online services. No MergeMate account is required. This release does not offer ads or in-app purchases. Gameplay diagnostics are optional and can be changed in Settings.
